City's patchy form continued on Tuesday as the defending Premier League champions threw away a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 at Brentford. Guardiola was spotted raging at his goalkeeper at the final whistle and later claimed he had been telling Ortega how well he had played.

However, an expert lip-reader has analysed the footage and believes Guardiola had wanted Ortega to slow the game down and waste time before Brentford made it 2-2. The Bees managed to salvage a point when Christian Norgaard grabbed an equaliser in the second minute of stoppage time.
